On December 10, 2014, members of North Idaho Classics meet with representatives from several charitable organizations in the Inland Northwest. Donations totally $6750 were provided to 27 charities in the area. Most of the money was raised through registration fees at the 2014 Car D’ Lane Friday night cruise. On April 5, 2012, North Idaho Classics established a scholarship endowment fund with North Idaho College in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. The endowment fund is in memory of Gene Fuson, one of the founding members of the club.
$10,000 was gifted to the endowment by the club and will provide scholarships for students enrolled in music or auto technology classes. Scholarships will be alternated or split between each discipline annually.
This endowment fund is in addition to the more than $100,000 donated to charities by the club since 1996. Most of the club’s funds are raised through NICCC’s involvement in Car D’ Lane. The funds for the endowment fund were raised through raffles, poker runs, and club donations.
