Charitable Contributions
As a non-profit organization, North Idaho Classics raises funds through dues, raffles, and selected car events. At the end of each year those funds are donated to various charities in our area. For example, money is raised each year through our volunteer efforts in coordinating the Friday night cruise during Car D’ Lane.
The club collected nearly $8200 in registration fees for the Car D’ Lane cruise and from t-shirt sales at the show. That amount, along with other funds available to the club, will be donated to charities in the greater Kootenai County area at year’s end. In 2008, the club donations totaled $9000 to 36 local charities.
For many years, North Idaho Classics has been a financial supporter of the annual Fiddle Fest event in Post Falls, Idaho. Through the Gene Fuson Scholarship Fund, a young aspiring fiddler is sent to camp each summer. Gene was one of the founding members of our club.
Special contributions have been made to Children’s Village in Coeur d’ Alene as well as to many other family-support organizations in the area. The club’s goal is to give back to our local communities through various fund raising efforts and particpation in area shows.
